Full Legend: Conway Castle

Comment: This is an old postcard. The artist, Elmer Keene was born Ezra Elmer Keene in 1853. He painted a variety of landscapes and  much of his work was used by publishers such as E.T.W.Dennis, Raphael Tuck and C.Worcester in their postcard businesses. Keene died in 1929, thus the original picture shown on this postcard dates from before that date. The picture depicts Conwy Castle well before the road bridge was built in the early 1950s. Signed bottom left corner "Elmer Keene".

Note: Combined postage on all standard sized postcards - postage for each additional postcard bought at the same time will be charged at only 10p. For these multiple purchases please request an invoice.
