Light of the World
stained glass window from St.Georges Church Barnsley (now demolished)
The `LIGHT OF THE WORLD' window from old St. George's Church, Barnsley. The image, symbolically showing Christ carrying a lantern in one hand and knocking at a door with the other, was rescued from the old church (now demolished) and placed in new St. George's c.1987. It is a fine piece of glass completed in the style of the pre-Raphaelite artist William Holman Hunt.
