1000 Makers of the Twentieth Century 1970

Title : 1000 MAKERS OF THE TWENTIETH CENTURY
Publisher :  The Sunday Times Magazine  -
Date of Publication : c.1970 (credits in publication dated up to 1969).
Subject : Mini-biographies of famous people worldwide.

Format : Softback, black plastic covers, lettered  in silver, with rigid plastic slide binder. Colour and black & white photographs (some full page) throughout of majority of the people featured. Some caricatures.
Dimensions : 342mm x 251mm overall.
Condition : Used - Excellent condition.

Narrative extract : "Elvis Presley (U.S., b. 1935)" ... "He lives quietly, never tours, but still makes millions. His record sales, thrusting towards 150 million ..."

My Comments : A superb compendium of mini-biographies of people of notable endeavour - in politics, music and entertainment, art, sport, science, literature, military, and many other fields. A great sourcebook for students of history, and quizmasters, as well as being a 37-year old collectable. The photo below from this publication, shows a full page colour picture of Bette Davis.
