Make your old diskette files Office-compatible

We can convert your old diskette files to Office-compatible versions for a single fixed fee of £15 per diskette (or up to 1Mb of files in emails or on CD/DVD-ROM), then email the new files back to you.

Our promise: If we can't convert any of your diskette files, then we'll refund your payment and return your diskettes to you!! 

Diskette types and formats accepted are:

• 5.25" floppy diskettes formatted for Windows, DOS or CP/M.  We may also be able to read other formats.
• 3.5" floppy diskettes formatted for Windows, DOS or CP/M.  We may also be able to read other formats.
• 3" floppy diskettes formatted for Amstrad PCW CP/M.
• We can also accept emailed files and files on Windows-compatible CD-ROM and DVD-ROM.

Word-processing file formats accepted are:

• LocoScript 1 and 2 for PCW
• LocoScript Pro for PC
• Wordperfect
• Lotus Word Pro
• OpenOffice.org versions 1, 2 and 3
• StarOffice versions 5 to 8
• StarWriter DOS and versions 1 to 5
• AportisDoc (Palm)
• Pocket Word
• Works

Spreadsheet and database file formats accepted are:

• LocoFile for PCW and PC
• Lotus 1-2-3
• OpenOffice.org versions 1, 2 and 3
• StarOffice versions 5 to 8
• Date Interchange Format
• dBase
• StarCalc versions 1, and 3 to 5
• Pocket Exce
• Works
• Quattro Pro 6

Other file formats will be copied unchanged, or converted to plain text, where appropriate.

Conditions: 

• Normal turnround for conversion processing is 7 working days.
• Diskettes should be posted to the address given.
• If you would like the original diskettes to be returned to you, then please enclose a stamped addressed envelope with the diskettes when you send them to us.  If you do not want the diskettes returned, then they will be securely erased and disposed of by us.
• Copies of original and converted files are retained until you are completely satisfied with the conversion work, to allow reconversion to be done quickly.
