Fujitsu (rebranded as Worldisk) 36GB 15000rpm 1" SCA (80pin) SCSI Disk, originally Fujitsu MAX3036NC, now marked as Worldisk MX03036SC800600X. Large quantity available! 90 day cover.

This is an excellent 36GB 15K drive, one of the quietest I've come across, and also now the fastest 80pin SCSI disk I've tested so far for my Access Time benchmark. An ideal upgrade for any SGI desktop (or SUN/HP/PC/Mac/etc.) It has a better access time test score than even a WD VR 10K SATA. I built a PC for my neighbour using the 73GB version of this drive and it makes for a very responsive setup (68pin/80pin SCSI adapters available separately if required).

The drive is fully tested (sequential read/write/compare scan using an SGI Fuel system) and comes with a 90 day warranty.

If you want a fast drive for your SGI, PC or other system, with low noise output, this is the perfect choice. Note that I also have the 68pin model available (MAX3036NP) which would be more appropriate for a native 68pin connection, ie. for an SGI Fuel or PC.

1. I'm happy to combine auctions. If the total weight goes over 2kg, then I can use ParcelForce Express24/48 (UK) or Euro Priority Business (mainland Europe) courier services, for which I have fixed rates and thus are very economical. Except for packaging materials and insurance cover, the cost is the same no matter what the weight. An extra charge is only required if the insurance has to be increased beyond 150 UKP (+5 to increase the cover to 500), or if a lot more packaging is required. Thus, for example, the UK/Express48 shipping cost for 6 disks would still just be 10 UKP, while for 20 disks it would be 15 UKP. The same applies to mainland Europe, eg. 6 disks to France/Germany would cost 20 UKP, while for 20 disks it would be 25 UKP.
