Dactylioceras commune - Fossil Ammonite.
A very atttractive ammonite from the Jurassic (Toarcian), Lower Lias, Alum Shales, near Whitby, U.K. This specimen is free of matrix on both sides apart from a small area on the reverse which obscures the inner whorls. Supplied with full information.
All items are posted in strong cardboard boxes so that they arrive in the same condition that you see them in the photograph!
Size:- slightly less than 2.00 inches max. dimension approx.
