My Comments : TWO BOOKS IN ONE: (1) A spellbinding saga of three women whose lives become entwined by war, their work at Cadbury's chocolate factory, and their love for an abandoned child.
(2) 1942 Birmingham - a family has built up their life working the canals on a narrowboat, but the wife is weakened by constant child-bearing - then her husband has an accident. Then someone from her past catches up with her, someone who is to become more dangerous that she could imagine.

This is a heavy book for a paperback, 976 pages in all, and consequently this is reflected in the postage.
