Hardcover in glossy pictorial boards, no jacket (as issued??). Published by Collins, no date, though I understand the author/illustrator was active in the 1950s, and the book definitely seems to be from that decade. Board edges are rubbed and laminate has soft creasing/cracking along spine, a little surface lifting to boards where there was a small label (see picture), corners a little bumped, endpaper gutters a little cracked. "this book belongs to.." panel has child's scrawled name. Aside from a small, very slight stain at the end of the The Three Little Pigs and the beginning of Puss in Boots page, textblock is in excellent condition, so overall condition, all stated and age considered is VERY GOOD. This really is a beautifully charming book. The illustrations are of the type we are probably never going to see in a child's publication again - the illustrator Justin Michman, is now gaining in popularity amongst book collectors with the same fervour as, say, Janet and Anne Grahame Johnstone were a few years ago. 40 pages, the spreads alternate between b/w and colour illustrations. Stories included are:
