Filmed on location in Greater Glasgow from 1988 to 2001
Greater Glasgow classes 314, 318, 320 & 334 are not shown in this DVD
Section 1: Lanark to Dalmuir On departing Lanark we travel via Wishaw to Motherwell then via Bellshill to Uddingston and Cambuslang. Turning off at Rutherglen we run via Glasgow Central Low Level to Partick and then on towards Dalmuir on the Clydebank route.
Section 2: Dalmuir to Coatbridge Central Picking up a service at Dalmuir, we take the line via Singer before re-joining the section from Hyndland to Cambuslang. Turning off at Newton we run via Hamilton West and Central into Motherwell. Next on towards Coatbridge Central (now peak only).
Section 3: Glasgow Central to Neilston An ECS arrives at Glasgow Central mainline station. We then travel via Queen’s Park and Cathcart towards Neilston. Catching the next service back we retrace our steps as far as Cathcart.
Section 4: Cathcart to Glasgow Central At Cathcart we pick up a service from Newton and visit stations from Langside onwards. We see services passing Muirhouse Junctions. Back at Glasgow Central we see a number of services arrive including 303048 in original Blue Train livery.
