Section 1: Cardiff Central - Newport Firstly we watch various class 37 movements’ at Cardiff Central. After a quick trip to Bridgend and Cardiff Queen Street to watch MGR services we join our service for Liverpool.

Section 2: Newport – Liverpool Lime Street More 37 activities are seen at Newport before our Liverpool service departs. Onwards to Hereford and then Shrewsbury (we will return in Section 3). Next we cross the Runcorn Bridge before finally arriving at Liverpool Lime Street.

Section 3: Shrewsbury - Tywyn We join 37427 and 37428 at Shrewsbury for our service to Pwllheli. Stopping Newton, Machynlleth, Dovey Junction and Aberdovey before arriving at Tywyn.

Section 4: Tywyn - Porthmadog At Tywyn we wait for units to pass off the single line. After a short stop at Fairbourne we cross the Barmouth Viaduct. We see Harlech Castle from the station stop. At Porthmadog a stop for the crossing before stopping in platform.

Section 5: Porthmadog - Pwllheli We leave our pair to continue and then join solo 37427 for the rest of the journey. Stopping at Criccieth and then passing Penychain before arriving Pwllheli where this journey ends.
