HG 3503. THIS IS A 1:72 SCALE DIE-CAST MODEL OF A BRITISH CENTURION Mk5 MAIN BATTLE TANK of 4 TROOP, "A" SQUADRON, 6th R.T.R. "SUEZ CRISIS" 6 NOV.1956 "OPERATION MUSKETEER".
This British designed Tank was one of the best in the World (some would say THE best) but came just too late for W.W.II although six prototypes were sent to Germany in 1945 they never saw combat as the war ended. Continually upgraded until it became the Mk13 it had a long service life with over 4000 built and over 50% exported. It saw UK service as late as 1991 in the Gulf War as an AVRE (Armoured Vehicle Royal Engineers).
WELL DETAILED MODEL IN A CLEAR PLASTIC DISPLAY CASE, ALSO USEFUL FOR WAR-GAMING.
