HM 3102. THIS IS A 1:72 SCALE DIE-CAST MODEL OF A BRITISH W.W.II CRUISER TANK OF THE 1st. ARMOURED SUPPORT REGIMENT, 2nd. BATTERY, H TROOP, NORMANDY 1944 (D-DAY & ONWARDS)
These looked very similar to the Cromwell Tank. This particular example is of one of the D-Day landings support vehicles. Fitted with a 95mm Howitzer it was used to destroy beach defences & pill-boxes, the turret markings being used by remote observers to target defences hidden from direct view. Despite orders to remain on the beaches the RMASG units moved inland to further support Allied troops before being returned some weeks later!
WELL DETAILED MODEL IN A CLEAR PLASTIC DISPLAY CASE, ALSO USEFUL FOR WAR-GAMING.
